Raleigh Makers / Artisans at the April 6 Market
While many of our artisans travel from other locales, many more are from right here in the Triangle. Below is a list of all the ones that will be at our April 6 event that hail from Raleigh:

Looking Back: Fashion Show Photo Shoot / Behind the Scenes – 2009
2009 is the first year that we hosted a fashion show at Rock & Shop Market. It was orchestrated by a girl named Jasmine who did a great job. I’ll post the final photos from this shoot in another post. The show featured goods made from local North Carolina designers. A few weeks prior to the event we did a photo shoot in one of the then empty floors of the Golden Belt building. We had photographers Aaron Nace and Rosie Hardy shoot for us. Here are some behind the scenes photos that I shot and recently unearthed.
Love Letter to Durham, Pt. 1
We had a planning meeting for the market today. We were able to soak up some of our favorite things in Durham: a perfectly cooked wood-fired pizza from Pizzeria Toro, the handsome floor at the Durham Armory (where the event will be held on April 6th), these great shots of the 4 of us taken by an autistic downtown ambassador that we were initially leery of, but who ended up taking better photos than any of the four of us could have taken, Seven Stars Cycles cool location & bikes, and the Bull City Arts Collaborative. And not pictured but also perfectly lovely, pastries and coffee at DaisyCakes, and a tour of Mercury Studios. Sigh.

Bands at the April Rock & Shop Market
We’re excited to announce that the Al Strong Trio, The Shape for Memory and The Durham Ukulele Orchestra will be performing at the next Rock & Shop Market on April 6th event at the Durham Armory in downtown Durham, NC.
Here’s a video created by Rich Gurnsey featuring a Shape for Memory song:
